The founder and concertmaster of the Belgrade Chamber Orchestra (BCO)
Miljana Popović Materni
After working in the fields of symphonic and chamber music for a long period of time, and an abundance of concerts and collaborations (both nationally and around the world), I have decided to combine my experience and enthusiasm, and form an ensemble with my highly esteemed colleagues. BCO is a chamber orchestra that will, in the most polished and beautiful way possible, present classical music pieces! All of the members have known and collaborated with each other for a long time. This connection, as well as the dedication of the entire orchestra, allows us to have the best results possible. I look forward to upcoming concerts and an unforgettable chapter in all of our professional lives!

The Belgrade Chamber Orchestra is an ensemble that possesses all of the qualifications necessary to uplift the capital’s, and the country’s cultural scene; with an attractive repertoire, innovative approach to the audience, and before all, a serious and professional approach to music, and the quality of performance. It is with great excitement that I agreed to be a part of such an important project. The orchestra is composed of young, enthusiastic artists, who are a joy to work with, and working with Daniel Giess as the artistic leader, offers a unique feeling of fulfillment. I look forward to the Belgrade Chamber Orchestra’s bright future.
